I am interested to see how critical event studies and writing may transform my practice as an event organiser. Although I plan and reflect, there is no current method to the madness.
I was particularly drawn the five writing styles based on Graham Gibbs’ reflective cycle as mentioned in Clare Hearn’s lecture The Reflective Practitioner5:

Narrative Reflection
purposeful observation and clear communication

Percipient Reflection
awareness of others and their perceptions and views

Analytical Reflection
relates to theory and practice

Evaluative Reflection
judging evidence against criteria

Critical Reflection
identifying strengths and weaknesses, demonstrating learning and development plans for further events.
